WESTBROOK -- Clyde M. Chambers, 76, died Friday in a Sweetwater hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Westbrook with the Rev.
Jim Mosley and the Rev. Jackie Qualls officiating. Burial will be in Westbrook
Cemetery under direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Chambers was born at Cross Cut, and married Ruby Ragland in Brownwood in
1941. He was a retired pumper for American Petrofina. He was a World War II Army
veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Westbrook. He had been a resident
of Mitchell County since 1959.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Barbara Bass of Lake Colorado City; Vickie
Koch of Westbrook and Judy Hale of Westbrook; a son, Robert Chambers of Westbrook;
a brother, Rex Chambers of Midland; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
