This is a photo made on the last day we had school at Cross Cut in May of
1952. We had ten students (grades 1-8), two teachers, a cook and a janitor (he
also drove the bus).
My dad (Leroy Byrd) was on the school board many years. Dolores Byrd Magee (I
had 3 sisters: Oneta, Norma Jean & Ellowayne)
Howard Hubbard, in the picture, was Oneta's son & was visiting from Odessa that
day.
